Greener Product     Company
In addition to its many structural and operational advantages, the SafetySpan building system is also an environmentally friendly, forward thinking product that reduces the overall ecological footprint of any building and directly addresses the multiple needs of sustainable development like no other building product on the market.

In fact, simply by integrating SafetySpan components in an their existing building projects architects can substantially improve their LEED ratings with little additional cost or effort.

More than just reducing carbon

Designed to meet the needs of sustainable builders from construction to demolition, the SafetySpan Building System lowers your environmental footprint several ways. From reducing the energy consumed in manufacturing to lowering the amount of waste sent to landfills, to improving interior spaces, SafetySpan buildings minimize their negative impact on nature and improve the internal quality of life for tenants, creating a healthier and more sustainable world for everyone.

Healthier Interior Space
Better interior spaces

SafetySpan buildings are built using clean, factory coated components that require no adhesives, aggregates or welding to install. As such they result in a cleaner, dust free interior space for better air quality. And with built-in HVAC management SafetySpan floors have a high insulation value, reducing energy costs and giving you better control of your environment. The long open span lengths possible with SafetySpan floors also reduce the number of vertical columns needed in a building, reducing obstructed views and improving light conditions within the building.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

SafetySpan structural components are manufactured from 95% or better receyled materials, and can be recycled upon demolition. Furthermore, by modifying or upgrading an existing building with new components, builders can rennovate without having to demolish the current structure, producing lterally tons of waste. The US alone produces 136 million tons of construction and demolition waste. SafetySpan's unique cellular component approach lets property owners change, repair or upgrade any building over the span of its lifetime.

Finally, the light weight of each floor also reduces the structural demand on the building as a whole, reducing the materials and engineering needed to support each floor. Fewer materials means less energy used and less waste produced during construction, again reducing the footprint of the building.
